I enjoy destroying discussing with christians who think they know the bible. It’s fascinating watching they squirm as they come face to face with their bible… their book of shit.
First they think I’m all out for some satanic vengeance. “Ah he doesn’t know the word of god, like I do…” then then see what I quote and they shrink. Most run. They stop all dialogue.
There is another type of christian… this type of christian is the bull baiter, the mocker, the jester. They attempt to distract. Their cowardice is revealed in their inability to form a logical progression of ideas.
Case in point is this fellow:
Ah, the puns. So I respond… waiting for some intelligent conversation… I give specific examples from both the old and new testaments. Unlike an apologist or theologian, he can’t even come up with a defense… after some time he comes back with distraction, “Christians don’t go by the old testament…” uh huh. So I dig deeper… I show that for certain Christians quote the old testament…
Caught in a quandary he just makes more puns and ill advised jokes… including this one on molestation:
Yep. That’s what you get from a christian. He’ll go get on his knees tonight and ask Jeebus to forgive him of his mockery of abused kids. Then he can come back and make more jests of sexually abused children and adults.
What he doesn’t realize is that on average 6 pastors are arrested a week in America alone, on the grounds of child abuse. But that isn’t the only reason I’m anti-christian.
I used to defend the faith… I was once a christian… as I grew older I found the plot holes in the stories. I grew up. Through my father, a minister, I saw the insides of some of the biggest denominations around. I saw the failure and futility of christianity to achieve anything good.
I still defended the faith, until I couldn’t. There was a point when I met redneck christians who defended racism and pro-slavery views. they quoted the bible as much as the liberal christian. Both groups claimed each other were wrong… but then I realized… they also quoted the bible.
The bible can be used to quote and defend any and every form of behavior… including child murder (Numbers 31), rape, mass murder, killing pagans, killing gay people and even slavery (Ephesians 6:5).
The bible is the silly putty of the soul… it can be shaped into anything you want it to be…. and that’s what makes it dangerous. People like “red beard” think it’s a joke that kids are molested. They think it’s fine to jest about rape.
As someone who’s not a christian, I find this to be one of the key problems with the christian faith, the trollish nature of it all. A fellow like that can’t defend the bible on rape, when he thinks the subject is a joke.
